Two months ago, any mention of China will conjure images of the Tibet issue.One month later, the earthquake at Sichuan province was and still is synonymous with China.Thus, I would like to clarify that this entry has nothing to do with both. However, the victims of the earthquake still have my deepest sympathy and condolence. May they pull through such testing time.


My relatives went to China recently and being the typical tourists they were, they brought back heaps of local goods. Foods were the majority while some other weird gifts made up the rest.

Among the weird gifts that they brought back are these three gooey toys.



Introducing, the Red Lil' Chick, The Green Pig, and The Brown Pig

They are not your typical toys. They have shape memory for christ's sake! Throw them at the floor, or at the wall, or at anything you can find and they will go SPLAT, deformed!!! One second later, they will return to their original shapes.

It begins returning to its normal shape in split second.



One full second after its deformation, The Green Pig is back to its plump shape.

Shape memory is not the only cool feature these guys have. They can even stick to the wall like Spiderman does.



That happens if you throw it against the wall instead of the floor or ceiling.

However sticky these toys are, they are still subjected to the gravitational law.
